La Dra. Carina Lange es investigadora de la línea 2 y profesora titular del Departamento de Oceanografía de la Facultad de Ciencias Naturales y Oceanográficas de la Universidad de Concepción. Fue directora del Centro COPAS entre 2004 y 2011 y subdirectora en el periodo de 2013 a 2015.

Líneas de investigación
Reconstrucción de la productividad marina en relación a los cambios climáticos y oceanográficos del pasado, en escalas de tiempo que van desde el presente a cientos de miles de años atrás, utilizando a los microorganismos y las propiedades de la materia orgánica preservadas en los sedimentos marinos como archivos geológicos. Realizo trabajos en laboratorio y terreno, participando en diversas expediciones oceanográficas.
