Silvio Pantoja - Austral Summer Institute

Silvio Pantoja is a Professor in the Department of Oceanography at University of Concepción, UNESCO Chair in Coastal Oceanography, and Director of the Center for Oceanographic Research COPAS Sur-Austral. He is a Marine Biologist from University of Concepción, earned a Ph.D. in coastal oceanography from Stony Brook University in New York, and was a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Marine Chemistry and Geochemistry at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.
